Adult Supervisor / Parent / Guardian / Renter Responsibilities
Adult Supervisor Acknowledgement
I acknowledge that by renting equipment from Northwind Events, I am the designated Adult Supervisor and am responsible for the safe operation and supervision of the inflatable equipment throughout the rental period.
I agree that I am responsible for:
Remaining on-site or designating another competent adult (18 years or older) to remain on-site for the entire rental period.
Continuously supervising all participants while the inflatable is in use.
Ensuring all participants follow the posted safety rules and manufacturer guidelines.
Preventing unsafe behavior, including roughhousing, wrestling, flips, climbing on walls or netting, hanging from supports, or any activity that could result in injury.
Separating participants by age, size, and ability whenever practical.
Preventing overcrowding and ensuring occupancy limits are not exceeded.
Keeping food, drinks, gum, candy, sharp objects, pets, shoes, and glass away from the inflatable.
Immediately stopping use if unsafe conditions exist, including high winds, lightning, heavy rain, equipment malfunction, or loss of blower power.
Contacting Northwind Events immediately if the equipment becomes damaged or unsafe.
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility as the Adult Supervisor and Renter to ensure that every participant has a properly completed and signed liability waiver before using the inflatable. This includes all adult participants and the parent or legal guardian of each minor participant. No person may enter or use the inflatable without a completed and signed waiver.
Responsibility for Guests
I understand that I am responsible for informing all guests, family members, invitees, and participants of the safety rules before allowing them to use the equipment.
I accept responsibility for the actions of all persons using the rented equipment during my rental period, regardless of whether they are children or adults.
Parent / Guardian Consent
If minors use the inflatable, I certify that I am their parent, legal guardian, or have authority from their parent or legal guardian to permit their participation.
I understand that children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
Assumption of Responsibility
I understand that inflatable equipment involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.
By accepting delivery of the equipment, I voluntarily assume responsibility for supervising its safe use and accept the risks associated with its operation.
Indemnification
I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Northwind Events, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, lawsuits, damages, injuries, attorney fees, or expenses arising out of:
Failure to properly supervise participants;
Failure to follow safety instructions;
Misuse of the equipment;
Unauthorized relocation or modification of the equipment;
Negligence by myself, my guests, or any participant during the rental period.
This obligation survives the completion of the rental.
Renter Certification
By signing this agreement, I certify that:
I have read this agreement in its entirety.
I understand my responsibilities as the Adult Supervisor.
I have inspected the equipment before use.
I will ensure the safety rules are followed throughout the rental.
I understand that failure to supervise participants may result in serious injury or death.
I accept responsibility for all participants using the rented equipment during my rental period.
